It was an unexpected gift to find my unique voice as I wrote the pages of the Storyboard—to see my perspective and sensibilities come to life in a way that allowed Professor’s teachings to flow through me. I learned that it takes time and experience to translate the teachings so that his precious words of wisdom are in rhythm with the heartbeat of our own time.

The challenge requires that we listen carefully to all those who have come before and dare to add our special touch to the art of living well.  

After 40 years of practice, and some gentle time listening carefully, I found renewal and grace in creative discussions with Anjie Cho and Laura Morris—students of mine and beloved teachers of a new generation of practitioners. They have beautifully woven Professor’s teachings into this time and place—with scholarly precision and heartfelt reverence. I trust them completely. They have always honored, and have great respect for, the teachers who have come before. And now they continue to honor the purity of our lineage with a new, collaborative master program.

The cherished legacy of the Storyboard’s chronicle of 25 years of Professor’s teachings has emerged transfigured, in a new pattern, not found anywhere else. The content of the Storyboard has become a new, advanced training stream at Mindful Design School, supported by the whispers of Professor and taught by the three of us. Professor’s legacy is now uniquely imbued with the wisdom voices of three generations. The reach of Professor’s teachings is unlimited and eternal.
