“It is important to know who you are,” said Professor. We all have problems. If we use both the mundane and the transcendental, we will have “an added edge.” We will be able to resolve our problems more easily.

During my time with Professor we often focused our attention on the transcendental, or what Professor spoke of as “superknowledge.” It is information that is different from the mundane (the information that is known to our rational minds). “Superknowledge” has yet to be proven, and is, therefore, ignored by many and labeled by others as superstition. Our attitudes about all of this are very important.

For some, if something is not proven, it does not exist and may be labeled as superstition. For others, even if something is not proven, it can still exist. They do not label it as superstition. This leaves an opening to work with things that have not been proven. It leaves room for the transcendental.
