Katherine’s Ponderings . . . What have we learned?

 

1. Professor offered us love, friendship, and kindness, and we were changed. As we cultivate warmth, we will bring relief and happiness by our mere presence.
2. Professor’s words allow us to see problems from another vantage-one that allows us to change our viewpoint.
3. We can touch the lives of others in the midst of everyday life and change the world.
4. We must trust ourselves, without worry or self-defense, in order to create an original offering. Will we take the risk?
5. We must allow ourselves to be surprised by the present moment.
6. We must be under control before we offer our best advice.
7. Humility places us in a state where learning becomes possible.
8. Our generosity must be guided by awareness, not guilt, debt, or showing off.
9. When we truly listen, we are free. Give people space. This is respect.
10. Remain available. This is kindness.
11. Importance resides in our interior worlds. Remain attentive even in the small episodes of everyday life.
