Halloween is my favorite Fall holiday! I love the unique decorations, creative costumes, and playful inner child it allows us to express. Orange pumpkins and black capes are usually associated with the holiday.
I was intrigued to learn about the new color linked with Halloween—teal! The Teal Pumpkin Project encourages people to place a teal-colored pumpkin on their front doorstep to indicate support and awareness of children’s food allergies. Instead of candy or other goodies, neighbors give stickers, glow sticks, or other trinkets that won’t cause an allergic reaction.
Interesting that teal, our color of knowledge, goodwill, and vitality, was selected for this project.
We’d love to know if you spot any teal pumpkins in your neighborhood.
