How Do We Promote Just Conduct?
We must all ask ourselves now, as uniquely powerful individuals, how we will promote strategies that help us thrive in the midst of misconduct, inequality, cruelty, threat, and oh, so much more injustice. How will we avoid becoming unjust as we deal with our sense of outrage, anger, disappointment, and even apathy?
We find one powerful answer in the Five Constants associated with the five directions and their corresponding seasons and trigrams of the ba-gua we use in the study of Feng Shui.
North: good faith
Wisdom rests in the center-integrating all eight trigrams of the Later Heaven Ba-gua configuration.
Thus it is said that good conduct is promoted by love, established by propriety, made orderly by righteousness, made definite by good faith, and completed by wisdom.

If ignored, we are led to difficult endings. To gain perspective, I suggest that you work with the I Ching for it is a guide to living a just and productive life in a changing world. Here is one simple way to begin.
Study one hexagram for the week. On day 1, study the hexagram text. On days 2 through 7, study the lines of the hexagram – one per day.
As you develop your own ritual every day, you will come to know your way.
