It’s Time to Say This Again!
The ideal human chi is open, balanced, and evenly distributed throughout the body. It is the chi of your spirit without the “dust” of this lifetime. Your primordial chi (the true essence of you) is unchangeable. However, it will manifest in different ways as you face the challenges of being a human being. Become familiar with the following chi imbalance, for it can diminish, and even destroy, the joy of being human.
Bamboo Chi is strong and rigid and can become very brittle over time. The chi travels straight up and down, and does not circulate to the ears—which leads to a very inflexible, unyielding person who is not interested in hearing about others’ ideas, needs, or desires. A person with Bamboo Chi can be stubborn and prejudiced with a stiff train of thought and a narrow outlook on life. Posture is stiff and upright with arms often crossed. This type of person can have the look of a “puffed-up” military officer.
Being around a person with Bamboo Chi can be very depleting, for that person has a tendency to force others to go in a direction that may be foreign, uncomfortable, or unwanted. It can be impossible to nudge him or her in your direction.
The use of fragrance or sound, especially in the bedroom and office, is the first choice as an adjustment. Here is a simple, but most effective method to soften the chi.
Peel one orange very carefully—making sure to keep the peel in one piece. Do this every day for 9 consecutive days. If you feel the need to soften even more, continue to peel one orange per day for 27 consecutive days.
Every one of us must take responsibility for taking care of our own personal chi. |
