Katherine’s Ponderings . . . What have we learned?
- A house tells its own story, and that story may repeat again and again despite the resolve of its occupants.
- Multiple design details that suggest the same outcome must be considered as priorities.
- Do not follow rules blindly. An extension is not always beneficial.
- It takes time and experience to truly master the knowledge required to ask the right question. It takes an artist to ask the question in a manner that can be heard—using language that invites a response that unlocks the mystery. This takes a masterful sense of timing, and great respect for the sanctity of another’s life.
