Mirrors and Money
We can use a mirror to cultivate an easy and secure flow of money. It is important, however, to first understand the qualities of each type of mirror used in the Black Sect tradition.
The Ba-gua Mirror
Ba-gua mirrors provide protection and are rarely used to mount an offensive. They will protect everything that is behind them and are most often hung outside, over the front door, to protect everything within. Their power is multi-faceted, and rests in the balance of all that is; the infinite and all-encompassing qualities of the eight trigrams, the five elements, the theory of yin and yang, and the ever-changing cycle of life. This rich symbolism gives us the perspective to transcend our own obstacles, reminding us of the transitory and balanced nature of all things, and putting us in touch with the essence of our spirit. In the fullness of their design, all is well.
Note:
Professor  suggested that if we hang a Pre-heaven Ba-gua over the main door, that we hang it with the trigram Earth at the top. (It is traditionally hung with Heaven at the top.) For a better understanding of the reason, please read hexagram number 11 in the I Ching, Earth over Heaven. In contrast, read hexagram number 12, Heaven over Earth.
The Convex Mirror
The nature of a convex mirror is to widen the area of view. It is, therefore, used to enhance or broaden the sphere of an adjustment.  For instance, if used in a Wealth gua, it may invite money to come in from a wide array of possibilities (not just one’s career).
Note:
Many Ba-gua mirrors include a convex mirror, and, therefore, provide protection in a sweeping arc.
The Concave Mirror
The nature of a concave mirror is to round and widen an image, thus softening any possible threat. This is true of the danger from a knife-edge, a tall oppressive building, or an oncoming road.
It is also the nature of a concave mirror to turn an image upside down. With this in mind, it can remove the threat from an ominous, overpowering influence. Imagine a tall building standing on its head; a touch of levity to offset the threat.
The Sun Moon Mirror
The nature of the Sun Moon Mirror is to create balance; the balance represented by yin and yang, night and day, the moon and the sun. This quality of balance can strengthen the ability to reason, cultivate good judgment and clarity – keeping you safe and prosperous. The nature of the sun side is to vitalize, or nourish, the chi. The nature of the moon side is to clear “the clutter of your thinking, to wake you up.”

The Small Bite Bundle this month will offer more information about the use of mirrors to help you fortify your ability to work successfully with money in your life.
