Katherine’s Ponderings . . . What have we learned?

  1. I am resolved to follow up on the things in my neighborhood that I’ve been wondering about for more than a year. How are the occupants in the home that is just a few feet from, and below, Highway 12? Who painted the Sonoma gas station with such vibrant oranges, yellows, pinks and turquoises? What more can I offer the local woman’s shelter?
  2. Our work extends beyond the boundaries of our own walls. Yet, preparation is necessary. Our chi has to be very strong to reset a community. And, now, more than ever, we should remember that it is best if we are asked for help before we offer advice. Otherwise we put ourselves at risk.
  3. How will we let community members know that we are available? Do you have a plan?
