Katherine’s Ponderings . . . What have we learned?
- I am resolved to follow up on the things in my neighborhood that I’ve been wondering about for more than a year. How are the occupants in the home that is just a few feet from, and below, Highway 12? Who painted the Sonoma gas station with such vibrant oranges, yellows, pinks and turquoises? What more can I offer the local woman’s shelter?
- Our work extends beyond the boundaries of our own walls. Yet, preparation is necessary. Our chi has to be very strong to reset a community. And, now, more than ever, we should remember that it is best if we are asked for help before we offer advice. Otherwise we put ourselves at risk.
- How will we let community members know that we are available? Do you have a plan?
