Nourishing Your Obstacles
Case File 46 of Feng Shui Storyboard is titled Taking a Selfie. We are taking some time to look within and to ponder what we have learned during our 4 years of study together. We are asking questions every day, and I want to share one that has our attention.
“Can you set aside the time to nourish your obstacles, treat them with respect, respond with concern, and grow something productive where it seems nothing can grow?”
We are asking how we can allow hardship to move us closer to spirit – to let us let go of taking things personally – quelling both anger and indignation and doing away with frustration and impatience, self-pity, and self-indulgence.
Can we look at our obstacles without being defeated?
As we continue to develop the ability to face our obstacles with grace, refining our reactions and polishing our spirit, we will become so adaptable that we will thrive in any surrounding.
As Professor said, “Our work is to encourage flexibility.”
How will you face an obstacle you might encounter today?
