HIGHLIGHTS of the call:

  • A reminder, there will be no call on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Enjoy your holiday week.
  • If you would like to review the information about how to ask a question of the I Ching, you will find the discussion in the April 15, 2016 call beginning at 7:30 minutes and ending at about 26 minutes. This was a request from Samantha. Thanks to Lorna for finding the exact location of the information.
  • Anjie spoke about a client living on a waterway in Marin County in California. She will continue to work as an architect to help the client find space for things.
  • We learned a new exercise to help the mind guide one’s chi more efficiently and smoothly. It is another tool to use for clients who are struggling with loss of focus and difficult design details that affect the brain – like a split. Professor reminded us to use the category of “others’ to help us meet these times. This is one of the “others.”
  • Katherine gave more information about mounting and carrying lines, as well as corresponding lines in a hexagram. They are all clues to the auspiciousness, or not, of the hexagram. Look to the 4th and the 5th and the 2nd and the 5th. Each combination holds a clue to understanding the hexagram.
  • Katherine introduced the wave of the 64 hexagrams in the King Wen progression, and will continue with this discussion in the future. There are different orders in a least 3 other arrangements (including the Toltec).
  • Our work in the world is important. Please continue to review, for a step back is an enormous step forward. Your review will bring forth all you need to give when asked.

This Week’s REMINDERS:

  • We began with a reminder about the password for Graduates which does have an ! at the end. Your mobile phone will remember the password in its browser cache and will not require you to enter it again. If you clear the cache, your phone will prompt you for the password again.
  • Every last Tuesday call of the month will be all about Q & A from members. Ask a question. Comment on something you found interesting in a document. Let us know what is going on in your neighborhood. Come prepared with 2 or 3 offerings. Your time and effort will benefit all of us. There will be a big day on every final Tuesday of every month. You have a month to jot down a few notes.
  • Tech Tip: If you are having trouble posting a picture to Chalk Talk, send your IP address to Katherine. Our tech will put it on our White List indicating that we accept your post. Let us know if it helps.
  • You will find the procedure for downloading a Storyboard video from Vimeo in an FAQ. Take note of the size options, and it might be best not to choose the largest. These video files are huge.
  • A template is available for a spine insert if you keep your Storyboard documents in binders. The insert has the number of the Case File, the name of the File, and the Storyboard logo. You can purchase the template for $12 from Katherine.
  • Please use info@katherinemetz.com to communicate with Katherine.
  • Please continue to send your tech questions to Katherine for a referral to our techs, Kevin and Stan.
