Design Details: Rooms Seen Upon Entry
If you are designing a home or remodeling in the upcoming year, keep the following in mind as you speak with your architect, builder, and designer:
- If you plan on seeing the kitchen as soon as you enter the house, you may create weight gain and digestive problems.
- Avoid seeing a stove immediately upon entering the front door. You may encounter problems that never seem to resolve.
- If a bathroom is seen from the main door, there may be strange or unexplained illnesses. If a game room is seen upon entry, children may play too much, parents may gamble, and fortunes may be lost.
- If you see a bedroom first, laziness may affect everyone, especially over a period of years. The entire family may lose focus and motivation.
- If the dining room is too close to the front door, friends and family members may leave and rarely come back.
- If you see the study first, knowledge may grow as reading and studying become frequent activities.
- If the space is small and you see most of the house as you enter, place flowers that you see as soon as you enter. The beauty will welcome you home.
So, plan carefully. Come home and walk into a space that allows you to let go of the day and relax with the family. A living room is great just inside the main door.
