Clueless

Katherine’s Ponderings . . . What have we learned?

  1. I broke a rule here and worked with someone who did not directly ask for help. I had to listen to my heart. There was little resistance from our young man, and I contribute that to the willingness of the girlfriend to take a risk—to step beyond her anger and hurt to help someone she loved. Some rules are made to be broken. Listen to the spaces between.
  2. Design details will affect the body, mind, and spirit. Come to understand the ramifications at every level.
  3. Refine your questions using language that others can hear and that will inspire an open and honest response.
  4. Don’t take sides if there is conflict. This young woman had a point of view about what was happening. The lens through which she viewed the situation was helpful. This is not always the case. It will be our discernment, detachment, and spiritual cultivation that will inform our decisions. Don’t get caught in the middle.
  5. Don’t make assumptions about clutter! There is so much more to learn.
