Gone

Below you will find notes from a student who, years ago, tackled this floor plan as a mentoring student working on a homework assignment. Please review her notes with the same enthusiasm she wrote them.

What will you add? What questions do you have about her comments? Read carefully. Pay attention to the details. The learning is in the details of this review.

She laid out a great framework. How will you construct a framework that works for you?

Remember that you have the extra clue you found in the name and image of this module. She had only the information on the floor plan. How will you use these extra clues as you read through these notes?

We can talk about all of this during our Press Conference calls.

Notes From a Former Mentoring Student:

Assignment:

List what needs adjustment and how to present the information to the client.

Issue:

Some struggle here after moving from another state

Money, especially.

Note:

Sealing the doors has already been done.

Client is an affiliate.

House Shape:

Cleaver

Missing career, helpful people some Creativity – front door / slant is in the center

External Adjustment Information for the client
1. House Cleaver shaped and the house next door is cleaver to cleaver Fill rectangle to complete the shape. Place light at point of sidewalk shining up at the highest point of the house Portends conflict.
2. Missing guas – career, helpful people and health Activate the missing guas by placing any minor cures. Place a wind chime in the carport with the trellis. Add lighting, sound, color of the missing guas or any minor cures to achieve this effect.
3. Building below road – Place a weather vane to symbolically lift the house to street level

– Place crystals or wind chimes on all corners

– Place a fish tank to uplift the chi in a position where it will be seen by al

– Consider three flute cure

This detail creates the feeling of an “uphill’ trek; life can be difficult, with time, energy and money lost.
4. Where is the hot tub? Is it positioned to deplete or enhance the property?
5. Path to the front door narrow? And from the front door!!! Widen it with lights, or flowers (pastels), or wear red Can deplete the chi.
6. Neighbor’s home two story vs. the client’s one story Place Bagua mirror on side of house facing taller building to protect the house and reflect back overshadow and oppressive influence.

Or place concave mirror same – this turns the oppressive energy upside down to eliminate the neg. effect

Or place a flat or concave mirror on the roof of the smaller building to “flatten” the effect of the tall building.

This detail can deplete chi, personal growth stifled, careers disintegrate. Overwhelm.
7. Is the house too close to the road? (<1/2 width)?  (Front or back) If so place a fountain or flood light, or weather vane or wind chimes between the house and the road.
Front door – Imbalance
8. Hidden front door Shine a light at the top of the hidden door with light placed on the ground in front of the door.

Or hang wind chime at front door

–          Carefully mark the path to the front door.

I would also suggest placing a convex mirror at a point of the path to “see” the door from the front walk and vice versa.

Can create conditions that isolate family members, decrease opportunities, loss of clientele, income, motivation, and increases frustration, lethargy and depression.
9. Front door When walking out of the front door – the view is the back of the carport. This area may be dark Brighten it up and add something fun and artistic to view on the back of the car port!
10. Carport Consider placing a fountain on the lawn behind the carport to improve the career flow.

Contributes to the hidden front door. Can create instability (car coming in and out) in career area.
11. Slanted front door Place a crystal ball hung on red string on the ceiling inside the front door – and outside, if that’s available. Can create why a family is constantly dealing with unexpected situations.
Interior details
12. Kitchen – outside the Bagua Place mirror on living room wall/ back yard to pull the kitchen back into the house Can mean someone in the house will be eating outside the home.
13. Slanted walls in kitchen Hang mirror on slanted wall Can create imbalance, instability. In the yin position, this detail appears in the health gua.
14. Piercing heart doors (garage, garage entry, kitchen, slider) Hang crystals on red string (9”, 18, etc”) or wind chimes between each door to slow the chi This design detail can portend health issues (particularly in the mid section of the body e.g. heart). Can also create discordant points of view creating conflict, etc.

A line of chi enters thru the garage and leaving thru the slider and potentially creating an unstable and depleting condition. Goal, slow down the chi!

15. Galley kitchen / walk thru kitchen(stove between two doors) Place a wind chime at each door (inside the kitchen)

I would also suggest placing a bell on the garage/kitchen door to alert the cook of someone coming/going.

Pulls chi of stove (wealth, etc.) creating negative situations, i.e. Difficulty holding on to $$$.
16. One of the “galley” doors leads to the garage. Place healthy plants in kitchen or flute placed horizontally over the doorway Concern: fumes, em’s, threat to health, safety and $$$
17. Cook not in command Place a mirror over stove for the cook to see behind.
18. Arguing doors in the kitchen Arguing door cure. Can potentate arguing, conflict within partnership.
19. Stove is across from sink Hang a crystal between stove and sink Elemental conflict (fire/water) plus dangerous placement in a walk thru door design plan.
20. Empty door in kitchen Consider hanging a bamboo curtain there To slow down the chi
21. Fireplace on a slant in the living room – partnership gua To cure this – place 9 potted plants around the FP and a mirror over the fire place Could create too much heat in the partnership
22. Slanted walls in Office Hang mirror on slanted wall Can create imbalance, instability. In the yin position, this detail appears in the health gua.
23. Office – Is the desk in commanding position If not, adjust it!!!
24. Office, Bedroom and Bathroom on the Cleaver edge Hang a mirror in the Living room/ dining room to pull these rooms off the cleaver edge. Can potentate discord.
25. Too many doors in a small space (bedroom / bath hall) Hang a crystal ball in the center of the space or camouflage the doors. Can create conflict, difficult to listen, too many voices
26. Narrow, twisting path to bedroom. ? Lighting Check lighting and add wind chime here.
27. Sharp chi in this space too Round the edges
28. Linen closet doors open out Hang a crystal there Potentially siphoning the chi in the small space
29. How is the bed placed? Adjust as needed
30. Bedroom – line of chi from bedroom door to window in wealth gua Hang a crystal in the window; place a wind chime or a lush plant to keep the chi from “going out the window” and activating the wealth gua.
31. Bathroom in partnership (yin) 32. Can see toilet upon entry. Tub is in wealth gua –

33. Hang crystal in center of the bathroom. Keep door closed.

34. Depleting design for creativity.
35. Garage – in the Knowledge area 36. Place a  large wind chime, crystal or wind chime/crystal in the center of the garage 37. The garage is a yin space. To improve the flow of chi and activate the gua, hang a crystal.

How to present this to the client:

Since the client is a Feng Shui student enrolled in the affiliate program, I would assume the client has a great deal of FS knowledge.

However, based upon the question posed, I’d take the process slowly.

Ask questions:

The issue that is presented is “some struggle after moving from another state – money especially”. I’d want to know what the struggle was. How is it different between then and now?

I’d want to know about the predecessor chi. Any physical health issues? And, of course, why the move and why was sealing the doors done? (I’m assuming the slanted front door?). I might recommend placing Buddha firecrackers over the front door to further positively affect the well being of the family.

Also, I’d ask if the client has performed an Exterior chi adjustment (walk the perimeter of the property with cinnabar rice – 1st throw the rice upward to feed the hungry ghosts, then walk the property again using the seeding mantra – visualize seeding the intention, planting auspicious chi, etc., then throw a handful of rice up to the sky – asking for heavens blessing) and an Interior Chi adjustment (orange peels – 9 oranges, 9 rounds each, break up rounds, sprinkle around the perimeter of the house, similar to the exterior chi adjustment).

Review:

I’d review the aspects that would potentate struggle and struggle with money. The Feng Shui of the complex matters.

I’d review the elements that may be contributing to the struggle and depleting the $$$ and how to lift and smooth the chi to end the struggle and stop any leaks.

The building seems to be sitting lower that the street level

  • The neighbor’s home is 2 story (overpowering) and sharing the cleaver edge with the client.
  • The hidden door – how the chi flows from the secondary road and up to the front door and the details that could be adjusted there
  • The office, bathroom and bedroom is located on the cleaver edge (conflict and struggle)
  • The kitchen and garage are outside the front door.
  • The kitchen is a galley kitchen that can negatively impact wealth.
  • There are piercing heart doors.
  • Activate the wealth gua in each room!!!
  • Place crystals/wind chimes using the “enhancing the eight trigram positions” – walk into each trigram with the sacred object. Either spin the crystal ball or ring the chimes in each gua. Reinforce with 3 secrets. Chant Om Ma Ni Pad Me Hum 108 x’s. Visualized in with the good and out with the bad.
  • If adjustments have already been hung, use sun/moon mirror to shine at chime/ crystal ball and visualize the entire process.

Suggest Meditations:

I’d encourage the client to practice:

  • Six Stage Chi meditation (inhale/exhale breathing) to cultivate smooth chi, improve luck and well being. To enhance clarity and knowledge and to aid in the transition of the move to the new space.
  • Supreme Yogas – to better understand and handle money issues.
  • Sunshine Buddha to release any pressure the client may be feeling.
  • Shrinking the Earth and Expanding the House – to see the financial situation in a balanced way.
  • Use the sun/moon mirror to adjust still water – enhance wisdom and clarity – for 27 days – wipe the sun moon mirror 9 or 27 x/s per day on both sides with a new white cloth. Ask that the still water be adjusted. Reinforce with the three secrets. After 27 days, place mirror under mattress.
  • Consider using 9 Grains of Rice cure to eliminate bad luck, etc.

Suggest Methods:

Prepare or use blessed cinnabar rice. Place one grain of cinnabar rice in each trigram position under the mattress. (Total 9 grains). Reinforce with 3 secrets.

Then walk the house and trace the 9 stars.

Gone

Katherine’s Ponderings . . . What have we learned:

  1. We have to know what we don’t know, what we need to learn, what we need to review, and the questions we need to ask.
  2. The ba-gua will present us with challenges every day. Pause a moment before you decide how to position our most important tool.
  3. We have to continue to distinguish Professor’s information from that of other schools—honoring our lineage while at the same time hearing the voices from other traditions.
  4. We must develop an acute eye for detail.
  5. We have to look beyond the question asked. The answer may rest there, or not, but we cannot ignore the beyond.
  6. We do our best, but we are not in control. If things go wrong, we must review our methods, learn from any mistakes, and move on with courage and confidence. As Professor said many times, “Learn to let go after careful consideration and with great sincerity.”
