The Sun’s Lightening
We use a clear crystal ball as a Feng Shui adjustment because it manifests the power of the sun. Every time I suggest its use, I remember Professor. Standing in the light of our ancestors, he reminded us that the sun shines on all things equally without discrimination or favor. In addition, day after day and year after year, it is never diminished as it offers its light and warmth to all things.
In gracious return, I believe we can bravely allow the rays of the sun to penetrate to our core, illuminating our blind spots, doubts, and fears. We can also find comfort in the dancing reflections of the rays captured in a lake—for they soften these moments of insight—moments that might otherwise keep us from the truth of ourselves.
We can allow our hearts to become the target of the sun’s lightening; to see things with new eyes; to begin in new ways both purified and sustained, the work outside ourselves that is required of us now.
