When our stability is threatened, we have to consider the state of our Earth element. I am currently working with a client whose Earth is being assaulted by extreme aggression – a quality associated with Wood out of balance. It is the worst of all assaults for my client! The threat from an out-of-control Wood aggressor can uproot and shatter her. She is at risk of losing the following qualities of Earth that have so clearly defined her as a mother, doctor, and loving and caring friend.

The capacity to allow others to find a comfortable place

The ability to offer a great depth of acceptance

To be cooperative in both stillness and movement, yet remaining intact

To be constant and trustworthy, as a mother is to a child

The ability to follow great leadership with joy

To be upright internally and externally

To step aside when credit for achievement is offered

To grow internally, but stretching out offering advice and wisdom for the benefit of all.

Her kindness and virtues are being weakened every day. Her Earth is exhausted. The threat can destroy her. This is our work. Our work everyday. I have to ask, every day, if I am ready. With great respect, I ask the same of all of us.
