Katherine’s Ponderings . . . What have we learned?

  1.  Don’t be mislead by erroneous clues. Stick to the presenting problem until you clearly see beyond appearances.
  2.  Rule out false leads and deceptive clues by asking very precise and inspired questions based upon your knowledge, intellect, and cultivation.
  3.  Learn to listen to the spaces between the words and the chi beneath the utterance.

If you are good at reasoning, but not fluent in chi, it shows.
H. H. Grandmaster Professor Lin Yun

  1. Do not toss aside a question that arises. Consider it carefully. If it feels right, ask.
  2. Don’t make assumptions. If you do, you may miss the perfect question to ask, e.g., “Do you have children and how are they?”
