Two artists built an interesting house that tilts and spins, and then they moved in.
You have to read this article. It reminds me of Professor’s comments about a house on Long Island in which the floors were like mountains and molehills throughout. The architect said that the extremely uneven floor would keep occupants stimulated and that the stimulation would help the systems of the human body remain alive, awake, and healthy. Professor’s comment, “Perhaps for a day.
After living in this house for two weeks, as planned as part of this experiment, one of the artists said, “I know it could become too much of a good thing.”
The friend who sent me this article said, “In the article, the artists say that keeping the balance (in this tilting house) kept them coordinating movements so they had to stay apart more than any wall. Hmmm!”
All this as part of “performance architecture.” Take a moment to read this. Fascinating.
